At MV Tutors, we take a personalized approach to every tutoring session. We begin with a free consultation with both the parent and the learner to identify their needs and concerns. Then, we reach out to the learner’s teacher to understand the scope of upcoming tests and exams.
In addition, we get to know the learner on a personal level by discovering their interests, heroes, and sources of inspiration. This allows us to provide motivating and encouraging words at the beginning of each session, setting the tone for success.
Our tutorials take place via various online platforms such as WhatsApp, Zoom, Meets, and Messager. We even offer an interactive online whiteboard where both the tutor and the learner can write simultaneously, providing a dynamic and engaging learning experience.

We offer different packages for our tutoring services:
Package 1: This package includes 8 lessons per month, and it costs R1600. For IEB students, the cost is R2400.
Package 2: This package includes 4 lessons per month, and it costs R900. For IEB students, the cost is R1300.
Extra Over: If you need additional tutoring sessions beyond the monthly package, we charge R250 per hour. For IEB students, the cost is R350 per hour.
Each tutoring session will last between half an hour to an hour. Payment for the monthly package is required upfront.

We understand that parents want to stay informed about their child’s progress. That’s why we offer regular progress updates on a monthly or weekly basis, based on your preference. If you don’t specify a preference, we’ll send you monthly progress reports automatically.
To ensure that we’re providing the best possible support, we also communicate with your child’s teacher to get information about upcoming tests and exams, the content being covered, and any special conditions. We believe that parent-teacher communication is important, and we see parents as a bridge between the teacher and us.
We offer both in-person and online tutoring services, depending on the preference of our clients. For those who live in close proximity to us, they have the option to attend tutoring sessions at our physical location. However, we also offer in-home tutoring services with an additional fee per kilometer from our location to yours. Nevertheless, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and government lockdown restrictions, our in-home tutoring services are limited, and we primarily focus on providing online learning opportunities for our clients.
To ensure the smooth running of our tutoring sessions, we kindly request that any changes to the scheduled session time be communicated to us at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to do so may result in a charge for the missed session. In the event of load shedding or a loss of connection during a session, we can arrange a reschedule to make up for any lost time.
